Rathin Roy
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Roy is a consultant to international agencies such as Food and Agricultural Organisation, Department of Foreign and International Development (UK) and International Fund for Agriculture Development. An engineer from IIT, Madras, Mr. Roy has considerable experience in strategic planning for development organizations.
Vineet Rai
Mr. Rai is CEO of Aavishkaar India Micro-Venture Fund and has a decade of experience in small business incubation, innovative technologies and SME sector. Earlier, Mr. Rai was CEO of Gujarat Grassroots Innovations Augmentation Network (GIAN), a business incubation fund.
P. Mukundan
Mr. Mukundan is Executive Director, Servals Automation. He’s also a former Chairman of All India Manufacturers Organisation (AIMO) and Ex-Vice-President of Tamil Nadu Tiny and Small Industries Association (TANSTIA). Mr. Mukundan brings with him a deep knowledge of small-scale entrepreneurs, governmental and non-governmental agencies associated with small-scale enterprises.
Mustafa Moochala
A human resources specialist, Mustafa established the operations of PRADAN in Madhya Pradesh, after graduating from XLRI,Jamshedpur. He then switched to the for-profit sector and was one of the early team members of Ma Foi, a reputed HR consulting firm based in Chennai. Mustafa brings to Villgro a focus on people and related issues.
Dr. R. Nagarajan
Prof. Nagarajan is an aluminus of IIT Madras from Chenical Engineering who finished his Masters and PhD from Yale University. His key research areas are Fine Particle Science & Technology, Chemical Vapor Transport & Deposition and Ultrasonic Cavitation in Liquids. He has been involved with Villgro since 2009 as a member of the board. He has a deep commitment to social enterprise demonstrated by his spearheading the formation of the Centre for Social Innovation and Enterpreneurship along with Villgro within IIT Madras

P.R.Ganapathy, Senior Advisor - Incubation
Ganapathy co-founded Gridstone Research, a Financial Information and Research Services company, in August 2005 and served as the Chief Executive Officer. Before founding Gridstone, Ganapathy spent 7 years at Infosys Technologies and its Business Process Outsourcing subsidiary, Infosys BPO, in Investor Relations, Finance & Administration, and Business Development roles. He started out as Executive Assistant to Mr. NR Narayana Murthy, Chairman of Infosys, and as the Head of Corporate Planning.
Ganapathy is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive of DSNL Ltd., a pioneer in the
teleconferencing / enterprise collaboration space.
Ganapathy has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Delhi University. At Villgro, Ganapathy will focus specifically on advising incubatee companies and helping them grow
Sucharita Kamath, Head – Innovation Eco system
Sucharita has a Masters in Business Administration from the SAID business school, Oxford and a master in applied mathematics and computer science from the Florida Institute of Technology. She brings with her a decade plus of experience spanning the IT, non profit and consulting industries including various senior management roles in consulting, program & project management, social enterprise management, training and fecilitation to name a few. Prior to her assignment with Villgro she has been associated in various capacities with CRY, satyam, SIFY to name a few. She also runs her own strategy consulting partnership.
James Rajanayagam, Head - Processess & RAMP administration
James is a Textile Technologist from the Anna University and an MBA in Technology and Innovation Management from the Stuttgart Institute of Management & Technology, Germany. Before joining Villgro, James was an entrepreneur, in textiles export.
Mukesh Sharma, Senior Advisor - Villgro Incubation Fund
Mukesh is founder of Vija Capital, an early-stage investment banking and advisory platform. Prior to this Mukesh worked with boutique private equity & investment banking firms with focus on frontier & emerging markets in South-East Asia, Eastern Europe & MENA. Mukesh is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Accountant.
Ashutosh Sinha, Chief Executive Officer - Villgro Stores
Ashutosh· Sinha, CEO – Villgro Stores, has a Masters in Agriculture sciences and business management from MANAGE, Hyderabad. He brings with him experience of 12 years in the Rural, Agribusiness, Energy and Retail industry. He has extensive experience in “Bottom of the Pyramid” markets in creating positive impact on livelihood and quality of life improvement through successful business model creation and implementation.
Ashutosh has previously worked with industry leaders like British Petroleum (biomass cook stove & energy business), Godrej Agrovet (Animal feed business) and Advanta India Limited (Formerly ITC-ZENECA Ltd – Seed business). He is currently spearheading Villgro stores hiving off as a separate for-profit entity - Villgro Innovation Marketing Pvt Ltd.
Suresh Shanmugham, Head Operations – Villgro Stores
Qualified in Agriculture & Ecology, Suresh has over 8 years’ experience in Myrada Krishi Vigyan Kendra. He has worked with 800 Self Help Groups, 24 Watershed Development Associations, 2 Natural Farming Associations and 5 Farmers Clubs.
