What will the Villgro Fellowship offer you?

You will work very closely with an entrepreneur and develop an in-depth understanding of innovation and social entrepreneurship. You will be a part of meaningful mentoring and leadership-training programs that will hone your professional skills. Villgro Fellows have rewritten their script and gone on to work/consult for social enterprises or pursue further studies in the social sector.

Social enterprises address complex social problems and often face a shortage of talent in critical areas such as marketing, HR and IT. The year you spend with them will fill this gap and help them at a critical stage in their journey.

What are social enterprises?

Social enterprises measure their success beyond the traditional single bottom-line of profits; additionally they define their purpose and success to include the impact they have on society and, in some cases, the footprint their businesses leave on the environment.

Over the last decade, there has been a mushrooming of social enterpreneurs in India. They are using the power of innovative ideas such as bee-keeping that increases farm yield or cost-effective anaemia testing machines that prevent maternal mortality, to change the world for the better.
