You will need an employment visa with a special "non-profit" dispensation. Applicants of Indian Origin are encouraged to apply for PIO/OCI cards as this will ease travel and other administrative process' significantly. For more details please visit http://www.immigrationindia.nic.in

5. Can Villgro Fellows bring their immediate family along with them?

The Fellowship program will arrange for travel, work permits and other items only for one person. However, Villgro acknowledges and respects the needs of Fellows to bring their immediate family along with them and fellows may bring family or loved ones at their own expense. It should be noted that Fellows will be expected to travel at short notice and at the schedule dictated by the Incubation plan, and that the program is intensive, time-consuming and requires real commitment and flexibility. Fellows should consider these factors carefully before deciding to bring family members.

6.Are Villgro Fellows allowed to take leave of absence during the program?

Villgro Fellows are encouraged to take leave of absence only for reasons of sickness or physical inability to travel to work.  Fellows are generally encouraged not to opt for leave beyond this. However, the request for leave on any exceptional reasons may be considered on a case to case basis.

7. What type of mentoring and support will Villgro Fellows receive during the program?

The cohort of Fellows will be put through a total of 2 months of professional development including a month of induction. This program ensures that we systematically build the skills and competencies the Fellows so they leave the program enriched and capable of playing leadership roles whatever they choose to pursue post the Fellowship. Each villgro fellow will be assigned a Mentor within Villgro to whom they are encouraged to share progress on the assignment or any other matters they wish to receive support on.
